
Pepperdine Falls to Cal Poly in Dual Meet

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. " The Pepperdine women's swimming and diving team traveled to Cal Poly this weekend for its second dual meet of the season.
The Waves fell to the Mustangs 172-113, but several Pepperdine swimmers and divers posted notable times and scores. He's a look at how some of the Waves did.
In the diving competition, Tori Occhipinti led the way in the one meter competition with a score of 232.73. Lauren Stigers posted a 175.43 in the three meter event.
Julia Sneden swam a 59.91 in the 100 butterfly, Julianna Chan led the Waves with a 1:10.99 in the 100 breaststroke, Lauren Allard also posted a strong time in the 100 breast with a 1:11.79 and Cassie Anderson posted a 1:02.66 in the 100 backstroke.
In the 200 events, Khloe McCarthy swam a season-best 2:14.98 in the 200 back and Kathrine Kuhlmann swam a 2:19.56 in the 200 back as well. Anna Riekhof led the Waves in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:32.89, Allard swam a 2:35.48 in the 200 breast and in the 200 buttefly Brooke Gautreau led Pepperdine with a 2:17.44.
Gabrielle Mathys also posted a season best on the day, swimming a 10:55.83 in the 1000 free.
The Waves will be back in action next week when they head to the A3 Invitational at East Los Angeles College.
