Oct. 15, 2016 Second-Round Results 
PALO ALTO, California " Katherine Zhu had the Pepperdine women's golf team's best round for the second straight day as the Waves completed the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday.
Playing against a tremendous field that includes five of the top 10 teams, nine top-25 programs and 13 top-50 schools, the Waves are tied for 12th place with a two-day total of 603 (302-301) at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course. The third and final round, both for the tournament and the fall season, is Sunday.
Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.), a junior who has posted top-20 finishes in the past two tournaments, is tied for 18th place with a total of 147 (73-74). She had three birdies on Saturday, all of which came on her first nine holes.
Sophomore Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) is tied for 34th place at 150 (75-75), sophomore Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) is tied for 53rd at 153 (78-75), sophomore Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) is also tied for 53rd at 153 (76-77) and junior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) is tied for 79th at 158 (79-79). Haythorne, Naveed and Wijaya all had two birdies on the day.
