MALIBU, Calif. -- The #15-ranked Pepperdine women's tennis team shut out San Francisco, 7-0, in West Coast Conference action on Friday afternoon. The Waves took the doubles point and did not drop a set in singles.

Pepperdine, first place in the league at 4-0, improves to 10-4 in 2015. The Dons drop to 8-7 overall and 3-2 in the WCC.

The home team took the early 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point vs. San Francisco. Lorraine Guillermo (Walnut, Calif./Rowland HS) and Apichaya Runglerdkriangkrai (Bangkok, Thailand/IMG Academy) first put away a 6-3 triumph over Andrea Ka and Marina Nikolic at No. 1.

Matea Cutura (Zagreb, Croatia/Gimnazija Birotehnika/DePaul) and Christine Maddox (Santa Monica, Calif./Santa Monica HS) clinched the point at No. 2, defeating Thyra Taune and Genevieve McCloskey, 6-3. The Waves' No. 2 duo is up to #25 in the rankings and now boasts an unblemished 9-0 record in 2015.

The Waves kept the momentum rolling in singles, not allowing the Dons a solitary set.

Michaela Capannolo (Melbourne, Australia/Genazzano FCJ College) dispatched McCloskey in straight frames, 6-2, 6-3, before Cutura served up a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Milica Hadzi-Tanovic to make it a 3-0 dual.

Danielle Feneridis (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Girls HS) put Pepperdine out of reach at 4-0 following her straight-set win against Ines Teixerira at No. 6.

The Waves continued the winning ways, with Laura Gulbe (Riga, Latvia/Murjāņu Sporta Ģimnāzija) charting a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Taune at No. 2.

At No. 3, Runglerdkriangkrai defeated Nikolic 6-3, 7-5. In the top match, Guillermo rallied back from a 1-4 deficit in the first-set tiebreaker versus Ka to win 7-4. The senior kept in rolling in the second stanza, closing out the match 6-3.

The Waves conclude the week's action tomorrow, April 4 with an 11 a.m. dual vs. Santa Clara in Malibu.
