
Men's Golf Finishes Up at Husky Invitational

The Waves ended with their best round of the tournament, an 8-over 296 that gave them a total of 906 (302-308-296) at the par-72 Gold Mountain Golf Club Olympic Course. They jumped Utah, Saint Mary's and Seattle in the final standings.
Junior Frederick Wedel (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands HS) had Pepperdine's top finish, a tie for 27th place at 223 (73-73-77).
DeHuff (Coto de Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic HS), a senior, moved up to a tie for 35th place at 225 (73-80-72). His final round included a team-best four birdies.
Sophomore Ian Mankoff (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) tied for 45th at 227 (74-80-73), redshirt sophomore Cody McManus (Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista HS) tied for 66th at 236 (83-79-74) and freshman Anthony Cecere (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) was 75th at 244 (82-76-86).
Additionally, sophomore Robin Kang (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif./South Torrance HS) competed in a tournament for individuals on the Gold Mountain Cascade Course. He tied for 24th place after a 223 (70-76-77).
The Waves will return home briefly, but will be back on the road quickly for the Jack Nicklaus Invitational hosted by Ohio State, which begins Sunday (Sept. 28).
