ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's tennis team concluded action today at the Jack Kramer Club Collegiate Invitational. Both of the Waves' doubles pairs reached the quarterfinals of the draw before making their exits.

Apichaya Runglerdkriangkrai (Bangkok, Thailand/IMG Academy) and Christine Maddox (Santa Monica, Calif./Santa Monica HS) eliminated sisters Ali and Kat Facey of UC Irvine, following an 8-2 triumph in the round of 16.

The duo then went up against USC's Giuliana Olmos and Gabby Smith. The Waves played fiercely, but fell short of victory 8-4.

Michaela Capannolo (Melbourne, Australia/Genazzano FCJ College) and Danielle Feneridis (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Girls HS), who had got their round of 16 match in yesterday, lost to Gabriella DeSimone and Zoe Scandalis, 8-2.

In addition to her doubles quarterfinal run, Runglerdkriangkrai produced an impressive run in singles over the first two days of the tournament. She pieced together three wins over Thursday and Friday, including a straight-set triumph over a top-30 ranked player, before bowing out in the quarterfinals.

The consolation draw was not played out due to rain showers and subsequent delays.

Lorraine Guillermo (Walnut, Calif./Rowland HS) concludes the Waves' fall season next week at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center - home of the U.S. Open - in Flushing, N.Y.
