
Orange Clinches Series with 5-2 Win

Malibu, Calif. - Aaron Brown tossed 6.1 innings to earn the victory, allowing only one run and three hits while striking out six in Team Orange's 5-2 win to clinch the Blue and Orange World Series. Austin Davidson double twice and scored two runs for Orange.
Team Blue scored in the first, but Aaron Barnett (Mission Viejo, Calif./Capistrano Valley HS) lined into a double play and Manny Jefferson (Lakewood, Calif./Lakewood HS) grounded out to end the threat. Orange answered in the bottom of the second, taking the lead for good on a double by Davidson (Oxnard, Calif./Oxnard HS) scoring Nick Costello (Claremont, Calif./Claremont HS) and an RBI single by Devin Carter (Temecula, Calif./Temecula Valley HS). Costello drove in a run in the Orange two-run third. Mat Snider (Los Altos, Calif./Los Altos HS) struck out two in the ninth to earn the save
Hutton Moyer (San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Catholic HS) was the hitting star for Blue. He singled and hit a solo home run in the eighth.
Jackson McClelland (Beaumont, Calif./Redlands East Valley HS) was named the series' Most Outstanding Pitcher after tossing 6 shutout innings in game one. Costello was name Most Outstanding Player after hitting .364 with two doubles.
The Waves are back in action during the Formosa Cup in Taiwan, Nov 28-30.
