Final Results 
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's golf team finished in third place at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Wednesday, and sophomore Danielle Kang led the Waves with a seventh-place result.
Co-host UCLA (860) captured the team title by 20 strokes, while Arizona (880) edged out Pepperdine (881) for second place. Both teams ahead of the Waves are ranked in the top 10.
Kang (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake HS) posted her third top-10 result in four tournaments this season. She finished with a 2-over 218 (71-73-74).
Freshman Liv Cheng (Auckland, New Zealand) recorded a career-best finish, as she tied for 10th place with a 4-over 220 (74-69-77).
Senior Taylore Karle (Scottsdale, Ariz./Laurel Springs Academy) and freshman Grace Na (Alameda, Calif./Alameda HS) tied for 14th place at 223, both of which were season-best finishes. Karle shot 77-72-74 and Na posted scores of 74-74-75.
Junior Kaitlin Drolson (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Torrey Pines HS) tied for 31st place at 229 (77-78-74) and had a team-high four birdies today. Playing as individuals, freshman Danielle Gillaspy (Santa Maria, Calif./St. Joseph's HS) tied for 29th place at 228 (75-80-73) and senior Martine de Gannes (Diego Martin, Trinidad) took 74th place at 247 (82-85-80).
Kang and Gillaspy tied for the second-most amount of birdies over the entire tournament with 11 apiece.
The Bruins finished 1-2-3 in the individual standings, with Lee Lopez (212) rallying late to beat teammates Glory Yang (213) and Stephanie Kono (214).
The Waves are back in action next week at the UNLV Spring Invitational in Boulder City, Nev., on March 7-9.
