SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Pepperdine's women's basketball team endured one of its toughest losses of the 2010-11 season Saturday afternoon, dropping a 66-46 decision to San Francisco at War Memorial Gym.

The Dons (4-17) entered the game with three victories on the year and were winless vs. the West Coast Conference at 0-6, but they held the Waves to a .216 field-goal percentage (16-74), including 16 % from 3-point range (5-31), and outrebounded them, 53-37.

The loss broke a three-game winning streak for Pepperdine, which now stands at 13-8 overall and 4-3 vs. the WCC.

Katie Menton (Coarsegold, Calif./Yosemite HS) led the Waves with 14 points, and Alex Jarrell (Shelbyville, Tenn./Shelbyville HS) chipped in 10 to go along with four rebounds and a block.

For the Dons, who snapped a five-game series losing streak to the Waves, Vania Singleterry led all players 15 points while Kelly Jo Mullaney registered a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Pepperdine returns home to Firestone Fieldhouse next week for a pair of conference rematches vs. Saint Mary's (Thursday - 7p.m.) and San Diego (Saturday - 2 p.m.).
