Alex Acker Rejoins Detroit Pistons

DETROIT, Mich. -- Former Pepperdine basketball standout Alex Acker rejoined the Detroit Pistons after playing overseas the past two years, the team announced today.
Acker, who appeared in five games with the Pistons during the 2005-06 season, averaged 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 30 games for FC Barcelona last season and 14.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists with Olympiacos in 2006-07 Euroleague play.
Acker was the 60th overall selection by Detroit in the 2005 NBA Draft.
He ranks 20th in school history with 1,273 career points. He also ranks fifth in three-point percentage (.411) and seventh in steals (133). Acker played three seasons for the Waves and made the All-WCC first team in 2005 and honorable mention in 2003 and 2004.
