Hess Saves All-Star Game for CICL

HUNTINGBURG, Ind. -- Pepperdine sophomore Tyler Hess was named a Central Illinois Collegiate League All-Star and earned a save in the CICL's 7-6 victory over the KIT League on July 21. With the tying run on third base and the go-ahead run on second base, Hess got the final batter to ground out.
Hess is playing for the Danville Dans this summer along with fellow sophomore Matt Bywater. Hess is 4-1 with a 2.84 ERA and two saves in 14 relief appearances for Danville.
As a freshman for the Waves this spring, Hess went 4-1 with a 5.82 ERA in 25 relief appearances.
