Malibu, Calif. – Pepperdine University women’s basketball player Nakeya Isabell has joined the Athletes in Action women’s basketball team in a pioneering ministry to North Africa. The team will be in North Africa from July 20th to August 9th.
The purpose of the trip is to compete against various university teams and conduct clinics to help build relationships with women is sport in the country. This is the first time Athletes in Action has traveled to North Africa. The country is 99.8% Muslim.
Athletes in Action exists to proclaim the love and truth of Jesus Christ through basketball and various other collegiate sports. The organization desires to see athletes come to a real, growing relationship with God and impact those they compete with.
