MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine junior pitcher Brett Hunter was added to the Team USA National Team Roster on Sunday as announced by USA Baseball.
Hunter (Moorpark, Calif./Moorpark HS) was named as the final member of the 2008 squad, completing the 22-man roster. Hunter was also a member of the 2007 Team USA National Team and registered a 3-0 record with a 0.66 ERA in 14 relief appearances while fanning 31 batters over 27.1 innings of work.
In 2008, Hunter was 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA over five appearances for the Waves. After the season, Hunter was selected in the seventh round of the 2008 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Oakland Athletics.
