USC claimed the MPSF Championship after Shea Buckner shot the game winning goal on the match ending buzzer. A low scoring contest saw both goalies stopping nearly every shot. Pepperdine led 2-1 until the Justin Rapel scored a goal with 1:23 on the clock. The match looked destined for overtime when Buckner shot the game winning goal. Pepperdine's John Hahn had 13 saves while Joel Dennerly recorded 14 saves for the Trojans. USC ends its MPSF season undefeated.
