Stanford water polo team advanced to the semi-finals on Saturday after defeating Long Beach State, 13-7. A sluggish first-half for the Beach saw the Cardinal up by six at the half with a score of 7-1. Long Beach came back in the second-half to score six goals, but an aggressive Stanford offense answered back with six goals of its own. Will Hindle-Katel and Drac Wigo scored four goals each for the Cardinal. The Beach's Ashley Blythen scored five goals, four in four minutes.
