Stachowski Named MPSF Co-Player Of The Week

STACHOWSKI NAMED MPSF CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine men’s water polo goalkeeper Travis Stachowski was selected as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation’s Co-Player of the Week. Stachowski shares the honor with Stanford’s Sage Wright.
Stachowski (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. / Foothill HS) recorded 18 saves against No. 3 UCLA in a match that ran into six overtime periods, ending in sudden death with the No. 7 Waves defeating the Bruins 7-6. Stachowski returned less than 24 hours later to resume his goalkeeping duties against No. 7 UC Santa Barbara on the Malibu Campus. Credited with 10 saves, Stachowski led the defense and helped Pepperdine to a 9-7 win over UCSB in its final conference match of the season.
A sophomore at Pepperdine, Stachowski was a member of the 2005 Junior National Team.
