The first quarter ended in a 3-3 tie with UOP coming back in the second quarter with three goals to the Waves two. The Tigers were up by one at the half (6-5) and Pepperdine (21-4, 1-1) came back to score two goals early in the third quarter. With less than 1:15 left in the third, Pacific put two in the net to tie the score (8-8) and end the quarter. Fourth quarter saw a more disciplined and offensively aggressive Pepperdine team with four Waves scoring goals to win the game by three. "The team played very well in the fourth quarter. Sunday, they need to play like that all four quarters when we face Cal. It's about being tough mentally throughout the entire game," said Coach Jack Kocur. Sophomore center Clayton Snyder ( "We didn't play like we should have in the first half of the game. The fourth quarter was an example of how we overcame emotion and reaction and pulled together as a team," said Snyder. Sunday, the Waves take on No. 3 California at 12 p.m. at the Raleigh-Runnels Pool on the Pepperdine campus. Following the PEPPERDINE VS.
