Pepperdine Finishes Seventh in Final National Poll

In the final poll of the 2004 season, the Waves received a national rank of seventh and Josh Acosta and Grant Miller were named to this year's All-MPSF Third Team. The two led the team all year long and ended the season as Pepperdine's top scorers. Goalkeeper Robbie Miller earned Honorable Mention along with freshman Adam Hewko.
The Waves completed the season ranked seventh after beginning with a preseason rank of fifth and dropping as low as the twelfth at one point in the year. At 15-14, Pepperdine finished sixth in the MPSF after entering the Championship Tournament in the seventh seed.
Acosta had a strong senior year, scoring 37 goals, including a season-high four in one game. Josh had scored in 10 consecutive matches at one point during the season.
Miller was the Wave's top scorer in his freshman campaign. He scored 50 goals on the season, averaging just less than 2.00 per match.
