Briefly: Pepperdine searches for its first conference win of the season this weekend against Santa Clara and San Diego...The Broncos (1-0 WCC) and Toreros (0-1 WCC) enter the contests with the same overall record: 5-9...In their last time out, the Waves fell on the road to Gonzaga 75-44 and Portland 84-68...For the first time in seven years, the Waves have dropped their first two conference games...Both losses ended Pepperdine's winning streaks in the all-time series' (Gonzaga 19, Portland 13)...The two losses match the Waves total WCC losses from last season's conference championship...Pepperdine returns to Firestone Fieldhouse where they won six of seven conference contests last season...The Waves have won their last five conference home openers...The Broncos continue to start four freshman (Ashley Gonnerman, Ashley Graham, Anna Martin, Yasemin Kimyacioglu)...The Broncos own the WCC best road-record at 5-2...San Diego has lost three straight after falling to Saint Mary's at McKeon Pavilion.
