Natalie Braverman Receives A No. 64 Ranking By The ITA

Sept. 11, 2003

Sophomore Natalie Braverman received a No. 64 national ranking in the ITA's preseason poll that was released on September 3. Braverman was tabbed the WCC's "Freshman of the Year" and named a first team all-conference selection last year.

In men's tennis, the doubles tandem of senior Calle Hansen and sophomore Pedro Rico received a No. 13 national ranking in the ITA's preseason poll released on September 3. The duo earned All-American honors following the 2003 season after advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships.

Individually, Hansen earned a career-best No. 24 national singles ranking. He advanced to the second round of singles action at last year's NCAA Championships.

Rico, who was named the West Coast Conference's (WCC) "Freshman of the Year" in 2003, is preseason ranked No. 54.

Both Hansen and Rico will be in action next week when they compete in the Ted Farnsworth Princeton Invitational in New Jersey beginning on Friday, September 19.
