December 22, 2003

Today was the beginning of our four-day break and I was headed home. I got up at 4am and was picked up to go to the airport at 4:40am. I was so tired I didn't think I would be able to do anything but sleep when I got home. I arrived in Portland at 9am and was picked up by my brother and one of my really close friends. The first place we headed for was my mom's work, she had no idea I was stopping by her work. When I got there she popped out of her chair so fast and gave me the biggest hug. She was so excited to see me. I was equally excited to see her as well. After my mother and I had chatted for a while my brother and my friend headed towards the mall. I need to pick up some last minute Christmas presents. After the mall we went to the Nike Outlet where I picked up my Secret Santa's Christmas present. After a long day of shopping I headed home for the first time in over 2 months. It was the best feeling when I walked in the door. I was home, and it was great to be home. Being extremely tired I fell asleep. I woke up a few hours later and headed to see my dad out in the garage. We hadn't seen each other in a long while and it was nice to sit and catch up. After our long conversation it was time to relax. The couch was calling my name and I was excited to have nothing to do. I was there for a large majority of the night until I got up to go to the movies with my friends. We saw Mona Lisa Smile. It was awesome. After the first day of my much-needed break was over, I headed off to sleep in my own bed. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

December 23, 2003

As soon as I woke up I got in the car and headed to the gym. I was going to lift weights before I headed to Washington for a day at the chiropractor. My aunt works in a chiropractor's office and she had made an appointment for me to get a massage and get adjusted. The massage was great and it was nice to get my back adjusted. I headed back, my cousin was going to spend the night and we were going to attend a party that night with some of my former teammates. On the way back we made one last stop at the mall and picked up a quick present for my grandmother. After that it was a quick stop at home and off to the party. As I got the party I was greeted by some of my old friends. It was cool to see everyone and talk about all of our college experiences. Well, it was getting late and I was getting tired so I headed home and off to bed. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

December 24, 2003

Christmas Eve, I got up and went running. It was really hard to run outside. It was freezing and shortly after my run began it started raining. By the time I was finished with my run I was soaking wet and freezing. I went home and got in a hot bath, which is something you can't do in the dorm showers (laughs). It was so relaxing. Finally, I got out and had to take my cousin home so that she could spend Christmas Eve with her family. When I got back, it was very relaxing for the rest of the day. I didn't have anything to do and I didn't have anywhere to be. It was really nice doing nothing. It got late and I was off to bed. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

December 25, 2003

Christmas day, my brother woke me up at 7am and I wanted to kill him. I was so tired and so worn out. All I wanted to do was sleep and I couldn't bring myself to wake up. Eventually I did and we opened presents. After we finished opening presents we headed to Washington to be with the rest of my family. It was nice to see everyone and eat a good home cooked meal. We spent the day in Washington with my family and while I was there my cousins, my brother, and I watched Bruce Almighty and Pirates of the Caribbean. Finally, after a long day of family and fun we were headed home. It was late when I got home but I really wanted to go to my friend's house to watch a movie. So, I headed over to my friend's and spent time with him. We watched a movie and said our goodbye's knowing I would be headed back to California the next day. I left late and went home to bed. ZZZZZZZZZZZ

December 26, 2003

Went to bed late and woke up early to get on a plane back to Malibu. After I returned to campus I unpacked my stuff from home only to repack for our trip to Florida. I took a quick nap and then headed to practice. I knew it was going to be a hard practice because we had four days off. I was right. We had to run 12 suicides in order to condition and I thought I was going to throw up. I felt so sick and I just wanted to go back home. It's hard to leave family in order to come play basketball. I wasn't that motivated and I didn't have a very good practice but the torture ended after two hours and then I was on my way with the team to Florida. We had a five-hour flight and we didn't get in until really late that night. We went straight to bed as soon as we got to the hotel. Our practice that was scheduled for the next day was canceled due to our late arrival. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

December 27, 2003

Shannon and I woke up at 2:30 that afternoon to watch film at 3pm. We were still really tired but we needed to watch film on our opponents. After three hours of film we finally got to go out to dinner. We went to Von Dutch, which was overly priced, and not that good food. I had a charcoaled burger that was nasty I was so upset. I couldn't believe the luck I had. After walking around the area where we ate we headed back to the hotel for a good nights sleep. ZZZZZZZZZZ

December 28, 2003

We woke up early to go to shoot around where we prepared for the game that night. After the game we had our pre-game meal at the hotel and than got in a quick nap. After I woke up it was off to the game where we played Hofstra. They were a good team and we needed to be prepared. The game went well. We had a few mistakes but a win is a win and I'll take that. After the game we went to eat and walked around this outdoor shopping center. While we where there, some of the girls and I were walking around when Teiosha was approached by a guy from one of the teams that was there. It was hilarious and we teased her about it. We found some fans and signed autographs and then headed back to the hotel. It was time for bed again and the championship game was the next day. Goodnight ZZZZZZZZZZ
