Tucker Fortson joined Pepperdine in April 2022 as the community engagement and development officer.
In addition to his role as an officer, Fortson manages and directs the tennis programming at the PCH Courts on campus in conjunction with the tennis team coaching staff.
Prior to arriving in Malibu, Fortson worked as a professional tennis tournament director, producer and operator at InsideOut Sports and Entertainment from 2019-22. At the same time, he was the head tennis coach for the Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica.
Fortson has extensive experience in tennis, serving as a coach, counselor, assistant director and director at the Nike Tennis Camp on Pepperdine’s campus, a role he still serves in today. Additionally, he continues to organize and participate in local UTR and USTA leagues around Malibu and around the greater Los Angeles area.
Fortson received his bachelor’s degree in general psychology from Colorado State University in 2016. While at CSU, he played on the club tennis team.
