Monique Demaisip

Monique Demaisip is in her fifth season as the diving coach at Pepperdine in 2024-25.
 
After joining the squad in October 2021, Demaisip made an immediate impact, helping two Waves qualify for the NCAA Zone Diving event, while Paulina Holmberg set school records in the 1-meter and 3-meter. Demaisip also helped the Waves win back-to-back PCSC championships in 2022 and 2023. She was named the dive coach of the meet at the 2023 PCSC championship. Demaisip led the Waves to MPSF titles in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving compeitions in 2025 and was named the MPSF Dive Coach of the Year for her efforts. In total, Demaisip has helped five Waves qualify for the NCAA Zone Diving event.
 
Prior to arriving in Malibu, Demaisip was a diving coach for the Mission Viejo Nadadores in Mission Viejo, Calif., coaching divers ranging from beginners to Olympic hopefuls. She also has experience as a professional diver, competing in international springboard events for the Philippines National Team. Her role with the Philippines National Team extended beyond competition, as she was a team leader for the Philippines as well. In this role, Demaisip completed administrative work, attended international competitions as a team representative and served as a translator for teammates and coaches.
 
Demaisip received her bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University in June 2018, where she was a captain and four-year member of the swim and dive team. While attending Northwestern, Demaisip helped out at the Chicago Dive Club in Evanston, Ill., during the school year, and coached diving and gymnastics over multiple summers at Pacific Diving and Gymnastics Academy in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
