Marina Cymbor

Marina Cymbor joined Pepperdine Athletics as the Assistant Director of Compliance in May 2022. She oversees NCAA rules education, monitoring, and support for multiple teams and serves as a liaison between student-athletes and institutional staff.

A two-time George Mason University graduate, she earned both her bachelor's and master’s degrees in sport management while starring as a four-year softball standout for the Patriots. She was a four-time All-Atlantic 10 honoree, the A-10 Pitcher of the Year in 2017, and remains GMU’s all-time strikeout leader.

She continued her academic and athletic journey at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she earned a Master of Legal Studies in Sports Law in 2022. While in law school, she played her final year of NCAA eligibility with Loyola Marymount's softball program and earned All-WCC First Team honors. She also served as a graduate assistant for the team and interned in athletics compliance during her time at LMU.

A dual citizen of the U.S. and Croatia, she played for the Croatian National Softball Team from 2015 through 2024.

Marina married Aaron Cymbor in October 2024 and the two live in San Pedro with their twin cats, Salem and Binx.
