Pepperdine University Athletics

Kelly Nugent joined the Pepperdine Athletics staff in February of 2024 as an assistant director of athletic communications.

Nugent is currently working on her Master’s of Sport Management degree from the University of Florida with an anticipated graduation date of May 2024. 

Prior to coming to Malibu, Nugent worked as a graphic designer for The Hidden Opponent, an organization centered around bettering student-athletes mental health. During this time, Nugent also worked as a social media intern for Naismith Awards for the 2022-2023 basketball season. 

A 2022 graduate of Creighton University, Nugent earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design & journalism. Throughout her undergraduate career, Nugent served as the operations manager for the women’s soccer team where she was responsible for an array of things including management of volunteers, players, and external functions regarding the team.
