Christine Dickerson joined Pepperdine Athletics in July 2026 as an athletics counselor.
Dickerson recently completed her doctorate in clinical psychology from Biola University after finishing a full-year internship at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Prior to starting her doctorate program, Christine was a softball coach for 14 years, coaching at various levels including at Biola University.
While at Biola, she was the lead assistant coach of the 2021 NCAA DII National Runner-up team and DII West Region Coaching Staff of The Year. Christine holds three master’s degrees in clinical psychology, sport psychology, and physical education.
Dickerson is a central Illinois native and obtained a bachelors in kinesiology from Eastern Illinois University and was a physical education teacher and coach for 9 years. In 2019, Christine moved to Southern California to work for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in college ministry.
Dickerson is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) by the Association of Applied Sport Psychology and has experience working with elite athletes and teams on their mental performance and mental health. Christine enjoys assisting student-athletes with developing their pre-performance, in-game, and postgame routines, releases after an error, and identity development. She also has experience working with eating concerns/body image issues, grief, adjustment to college, anxiety/depression, and relationship/family concerns.
When she is not attending a sporting event, Dickerson enjoys Crossfit, finding local coffee shops, hiking, playing pickleball, and spending time at the beach.
