Ali Longo joined the Pepperdine women’s volleyball team in August 2018 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach and was elevated to Assistant Coach in September. 

Long graduated from University of Hawai’i at Manoa with a Bachelor of Science in Family Resources in 2014.  While there, she was a team captain on the indoor women’s volleyball team and played under Head Coach Scott Wong before he moved to Malibu to head the Waves’ indoor squad.  Before playing at Hawai’i, Longo played at Penn State where she helped lead the Nittany Lions win a NCAA Championship crown in 2010. 

After college, Longo played professional volleyball with Volleyball Club Wiesbaden in Germany from 2015-17.  She most recently served as Volunteer Varsity Assistant Coach at Chatfield Senior High School. 

Prior to her stint in Germany, Longo was and administrative assistant with Hawai’i’s Athletic Department in 2015.  She has also helped out with the Scott Wong Volleyball Camp and Penn State Women’s Volleyball Camp as a camp leader, and was Spike and Serve Volleyball’s Clinic Director for three years. 

As a libero for Hawai’i, she started in all 30 matches in both her junior and senior campaigns.  In her senior year, she had a team-best 437 digs in the season and earned All-Big West first team honors.  Her 4.05 digs/set ranked 2nd in the conference and she twice earned a career-high of 25 digs.  In her junior campaign, she posted double-figure digs in 20 matches and had over 20-digs in four matches while averaging 3.41 digs/set.

She currently lives in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
