Jana Vincent joined Pepperdine in the fall of 2018 as the Volunteer Assistant Coach. Her duties include assisting in coaching the swim and dive team as well as day-to-day operations.
She comes to Pepperdine with a background in coaching from the University of Washington, where she coached from 1995-2000.
Vincent swam for University of Washington from 1985-1987 before transferring to swim at University of Florida where she graduated in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Vincent is a 15-time All-American, two-time Olympic Trials qualifier (1984 and 1988), and NCAA runner-up in the 200 Individual Medley in 1987. During her impressive swimming career she specialized in the 200 and 400 individual medley, 100 and 200 breaststroke and 100 and 200 freestyle.
Formerly Jana Ellis, her and her husband O.D. Vincent live in Bell Canyon with their two children, Prada and Phar.
