Kacey Dalpes

Kacey Dalpes was added to the coaching staff of the Pepperdine women’s golf team in July of 2023, following the program’s first-ever trip to match play and a top-five finish at the NCAA Championships.

She joins the Waves after spending four seasons as the assistant golf coach at the University of Indianapolis, earning Division II Golf Pride Grips WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2018 and 2020.  She has helped mentor nine All-Americans, 14 All-GLVC honorees, 12 All-East Region performers and the NCAA Division II National Player of the Year during that time as well.

"We are very excited to have Kacey join our Waves family,” said Gibbs.  “She has excellent experience as an assistant coach, swing instructor and PGA member since graduating from New Mexico State in 2016.

“Our program will benefit greatly from her coaching knowledge, especially from when she helped lead the UIndy team to a national championship. To be honored twice in three years as the DII assistant coach of the year in 2018 and 2020, validates that the Waves are very fortunate to add a talented coach."

Most recently, Dalpes has served as a Golf Instructor at GOLFTEC, teaching daily and building on her knowledge of the golf swing.

“I am so excited to be joining the Pepperdine women’s golf program,” said Dalpes.  “I feel truly blessed with this amazing opportunity to work with Coach Gibbs at such a tremendous University, with great values and a track record of success. I can’t wait to meet the team and get started.

“My experience as a college player, assistant coach and PGA member has given me a great respect for the game and prepared me for dealing with all aspects of the game, from the golf swing and course management to the mental game. Along with Coach Gibbs’ 30 years of experience guiding All-American student-athletes to earning college degrees and helping them transition to successful LPGA careers, I believe we will continue to solidify the legacy she has built. I look forward to learning from her and working with her.”

Dalpes became a Class A member of the PGA of America in 2018.  Prior to that, she graduated from New Mexico State University and the PGA Golf Management program in the spring of 2017. While with the Aggies, she helped the team to three WAC Championships and three NCAA Regional appearances, before going on to set a school record by playing in and qualifying for 44 consecutive tournaments. She was a WGCA All-American Scholar and a WAC All-Academic honoree.

Prior to her time at New Mexico State, Dalpes won three New Mexico High School District Championships and was a two-time New Mexico High School State Champion.

She is a native of Alamogordo, New Mexico where her parents have run the only golf course in town for 31 years. Along with her sister, Dalpes is a fourth generation PGA of America member.
