Nick Robinson Headshot

Nick Robinson

Nick Robinson began as an assistant coach for the Pepperdine men’s golf team in June 2024. The 2025-26 campaign will be his second on staff.

Prior to joining the Waves, Robinson worked with former Waves’ assistant and current head coach of the Chattanooga men’s golf team, Blaine Woodruff, as an assistant coach.

While at Chattanooga for two seasons, Robinson helped lead the Mocs to back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances and the team’s third trip to the finals in program history in 2023.  Throughout both seasons, he helped lead two to All-East Region acclaim and four players earn seven All-Southern Conference honors – including three with consecutive first team nods – throughout his time.

During the Mocs 2024 season, Chattanooga won two tournaments and finished second in five others, posting 10 finishes in the top-10.  The team finished with a 285.09 scoring average, slightly behind the record-breaking 285.03 average from the previous season to sit second and first respectively in the Mocs’ record books for both seasons.  The Mocs ranked as high as #21 nationally in the fall this season.

In the 2023 campaign, Robinson coached the team to four wins, including taking the lead during the team’s win at Wofford that year.  At the Wofford tournament, the Mocs posted the program’s lowest-ever 18-hole (265, -19), 36-hole (544, -24) and 54-hole (544, -24) scores to make a mark in the records.  This performance, along with others, helped the Mocs make a late push from a #135 ranking in the Golfstat national team rankings, up 94-spots to #41 that year.  Along with an impressive run in the postseason and a record-breaking scoring average, the team also led the record books in par or better rounds, scoring average vs. par, rounds played and more.

Prior to joining Chattanooga, Robinson was a volunteer assistant coach for his alma mater Wisconsin in 2022.  While there, he coached two players to individual berths at the NCAA Regionals and led one to All-Conference recognition.

Robinson played from Wisconsin for the 2017-21 seasons, competing in 29 tournaments with a career average of 74.66.  His career stroke average was the 10th lowest in school history when he completed his eligibility and he had two top-five finishes early in his career.  He earned Big Ten Golfer of the Week honors throughout his time, while serving as vice president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Head of Community Service.

Originally from Palos Verdes, Calif., Robinson earned a degree in Communication Arts from Wisconsin in 2021.
