PERSONAL: Born in Batesville, Ind. ... Son of Andy and Lori Zupan ... Has two siblings, Sydney and Caroline ... His twin sister Sydney swims at Missouri State ... His mother played volleyball at Bradley ... Was a national champion in the long course triathlon as a U-19, and the world runner-up ... Majoring in sports medicine ... Chose Pepperdine because "I wanted to be adventurous and leave the Midwest and Pepperdine was a small, Christian school full of exciting outdoor opportunities."
FAVORITES: Enjoys playing the guitar and skeeball ... Favorites include Carlos Martinez (pro athlete), St. Louis Cardinals (pro team), The Very Hungry Caterpillar (book), Elf (movie), Community (TV show), Iron and Wine (musical artist), gooey butter cake (food) and baseball (sport other than running) ...
