Nicole Elby joined Pepperdine as its Rehabilitation Coordinator in August 2017. She works with the women's basketball, women's golf, cross country and track teams.

Prior to becoming a Wave, Elby was a sports physical therapy resident at the University of Southern California. During this program, she spent one year working as a physical therapist at Performance Physical Therapy at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif., and assisting the Pepperdine University's athletic training staff with the women's soccer, women's basketball and baseball teams.

Elby graduated from Columbia University in May 2016 with her doctorate degree in physical therapy. Her internships include working at orthopedic and sports medicine clinics and at the Cleveland Indians Player Development Complex in Goodyear, Ariz.

Elby, originally from Arcadia, Calif., received her bachelor's degree in athletic training in May 2013 from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. There, she worked with Sacred Heart's women's ice hockey, football and men's basketball teams, club sports teams, and St. Luke's School sports.
