MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine University and The Mountain at Mullin Park will host the Trinity vs. Mission League Challenge on Tuesday, Dec. 22, bringing Southern California's premier high school basketball programs together for a full day of competition.Â
The event will mark the first non-Pepperdine sporting event hosted at The Mountain, Pepperdine's new 3,600-seat arena, which officially opens Dec. 5. The day will feature eight games beginning at 10 a.m., bringing together programs from the nationally recognized Mission and Trinity leagues, along with several wildcard teams from across Southern California.
"The Mountain at Mullin Park was built to be more than a home for Pepperdine Athletics, and hosting our first outside event on December 22 is an exciting milestone for our entire community," said Director of Athletics Tanner Gardner. "We are grateful to Dan and his team for partnering with us to showcase some of the very best high school talent in Southern California and, at the same time, demonstrate the incredible opportunities The Mountain can provide to our community and beyond. We look forward to welcoming these student-athletes, their families and fans to The Mountain and beginning what we hope will be a long history of memorable events in this special venue."
