SAN BRUNO, Calif. — As announced today by the West Coast Conference, No. 28 Pepperdine men's tennis earned the number two seed in the upcoming WCC Tournament, which takes place next week Thursday through Saturday (April 23-25).
The Waves won't have to play their first match until Friday the 24th at noon against an opponent to be determined. Pepperdine will face the winner of the match between No. 3-seeded Santa Clara Broncos versus No. 6-seeded Saint Mary's Gaels.
The Waves finished the regular season in a three-way tie for first but earned the two spot over the third spot because of a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Broncos, who the Waves beat 4-1 on April 9. San Diego clinched the one seed because the Toreros defeated Pepperdine 4-1 on April 12.
