MALIBU, Calif. — One month remains until Waves Give Day, the annual day of giving that supports the arts and athletics programs at Pepperdine, set for Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Waves Give brings together alumni, parents, fans and friends of the University to invest in the continued success of Pepperdine Athletics and the nearly 300 student-athletes who represent the Waves in competition and in the classroom.
Now in its fifth year, the initiative has become a staple in displaying Waves pride and generosity. Last year's campaign set a new benchmark for support, raising more than $760,000 for Pepperdine Athletics while surpassing the campaign goal and engaging more than 1,000 donors across the Waves community.
"Waves Give Day is a meaningful representation of the mission that drives Pepperdine Athletics — pursuing Championship Athletics, rooted in Christian values, academics and community," said Director of Athletics Tanner Gardner. "The momentum built from last year, which included 100% participation from our athletics staff, demonstrates the impact this day has for our department. We hope to see alumni, parents, staff and fans come together to support our student-athletes again this April."
Waves Give Day serves as a department-wide opportunity for supporters to give directly to their favorite teams, key department priorities and initiatives that enhance the student-athlete experience. Gifts raised through the campaign help provide critical resources such as scholarships, equipment, travel, performance support and development opportunities for Pepperdine student-athletes.

In addition to team-specific giving opportunities, supporters can contribute to department priorities such as the Waves Excellence Initiative, which provides flexible support for Pepperdine Athletics and allows the department to invest strategically in programs and student-athlete resources.
Throughout the next month, Pepperdine Athletics will continue to share ways that supporters can get involved. On the day itself, team challenges and matching gifts will help generate momentum and maximize the impact of every donation.
This year's goal is to raise more than $1 million for athletics and to engage over 1,000 donors.
