MALIBU, Calif.  — Pepperdine basketball will return with the annual Blue and Orange Madness event on Friday, Oct. 9, set for 8 p.m. at Firestone Fieldhouse as part of Waves Weekend.
Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., as Blue and Orange Madness will give fans their first look at the 2026-27 Pepperdine men's and women's basketball teams, featuring a night of team introductions, on-court contests, performances, games and prizes.
The evening will include several competitions featuring members of both basketball programs and Pepperdine students, highlighted by the men's dunk contest, women's three-point contest and other on-court challenges throughout the night.
Pepperdine's spirit teams will also take center stage throughout the event, with performances from the Pepperdine Cheer Squad, RnD dance team and STEP team. The night will culminate with the annual half-court shot for tuition from President Jim Gash.
Blue and Orange Madness will provide fans an early look at the Waves ahead of a historic 2026-27 season, as both programs prepare to move into The Mountain at Mullin Park in December. The men will play the first game inside The Mountain against Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday, Dec. 5, followed by the women's inaugural game against Boise State on Sunday, Dec. 6.
Pepperdine women's basketball enters its third season under head coach Katie Faulkner, and are coming off a historic 2025-26 campaign which saw the Waves reach the Super 16 in the WNIT. The men's program enters its first season under head coach Griff Aldrich, who was named head coach in March.Â
Both teams will open the 2026-27 campaign on the road before returning to Malibu for a Nov. 5 doubleheader.
Season tickets for the historic 2026-27 season are on sale now, with the opportunity to become a founding season ticket holder in the Mountain. Men's basketball season tickets start at just $99, less than $7 per game, while women's basketball season tickets begin at $75.Â
