Bailey continued to hold an advantage throughout the back nine as he went on to win 3&2 to put Pepperdine in the conference championship match against LMU as the Waves defeated the Pacific Tigers 3.5-1.5.
LMU RECAP (CHAMPIONSHIP)
Siravo continued his momentum from the previous match and was 3-up through five after playing the first five holes 2-under. LMU's Mason Snyder cut the deficit to one at the turn, but Siravo won three-straight holes to go 4-up thru 12 and ultimately put the Waves up 1-0 as he beat Snyder 4&3.
Alejandro Alonso held a 1-hole advantage over Bailey thru 2. However, Bailey posted back-to-back birdies to win holes 4 and 5 to flip the score in his favor. After taking the lead, Bailey continued to increase the gap between him and Alonso, ultimately winning 4&3 to put Pepperdine up 2-0 and one full point away from the title.
The Lions then cut their deficit in half (2-1) as Trevor Algya defeated Chirravuri 6&4.
With the Waves still needing just one more victory to take home the crown, Walsh and Kuvaas held leads in their matches with just a few holes to play. Finishing around the same time on holes 17 and 16, Walsh and Kuvaas clinched their matches with respective scores of 2&1 and 3&2 to help Pepperdine defeat PCH Cup rival LMU and claim its 23rd WCC team championship, and fifth in the last seven tournaments
