Flint Notches WCC Cross Country Men's Runner of the Week

MALIBU, Calif. – Johnathan Flint of the Pepperdine men's cross country team has been named the West Coast Conference men's runner of the week, the league announced today. This is the second-ever weekly honor for either cross country team and the first-ever for the men's squad.

Flint (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound HS), a senior, led the squad in the men's 6K at the Waves Invitational on Alumni Park, crossing the finish line in a time of 18:28.7, which was good for a third-place overall finish. The men's squad collected a team second-place finish for the second year in a row at the Waves Invitational.

Pepperdine will next head to Riverside, Calif., for the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16. The meet will begin with the women's invitational 6K at 7:15 a.m. and the men's 8K invitational will be at 7:50 a.m., respectively.
