MALIBU, California – Playing in front of a large and spirited crowd for four hours, the Pepperdine men's tennis program dropped a tightly-contested 4-3 home match to #30 San Diego on Friday afternoon at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.
Â
Doubles was tightly contested throughout. San Diego (14-6, 6-1 WCC) struck first with a 6-4 win on court three. San Diego responded, however, taking the ranked matchup on court one to regain the lead. To tie the match for a second time, #63 Daniel De Jonge (Vlissingen, Netherlands) handled business on court two, sweeping Oliver Tarvet 6-1, 7-6 (3).
Â
