MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine men's tennis program has just one match on the docket this week as the Waves host Oklahoma on Saturday looking for their fifth consecutive win.

SERIES HISTORY
Pepperdine has won five of seven all-time meetings with the Sooners. The last match between the schools in Malibu came in 2017. This will be the fifth meeting against OU at home for the Waves, who hold a home record of 2-2.
SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine won a pair of dual matches last week, taking down UC Irvine 4-0 at home before going to San Diego and defeating Penn 4-1. While in San Diego, the Waves competed at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship, competing well against top competition from across the country. #38
Daniel De Jonge and
Tim Zeitvogel were semifinalists, while
Robert Shelton was a consolation finalist competing with an individual from UC Santa Barbara. Following competition over the weekend, #65 De Jonge was named the West Coast Conference singles player of the week after clinching the Waves' win over Penn with a three-set victory over then-#66 Edoardo Graziani.
Maxi Homberg and
Eero Vasa lead the Waves with five doubles wins, while Homberg is the team leader in singles wins with six.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Oklahoma started the season 6-1 but has since dropped five of seven. Last weekend, the Sooners defeated Arizona State before falling to Arizona for the second time this season. Five of its eight wins this season have come in shutout fashion. Three Sooners are ranked by the ITA in singles: #87 Justin Schlageter, #91 Nathan Han and #95 Alex Martinez.
