MALIBU, California – After earning a top-70 win on Sunday,
Daniel De Jonge of the Pepperdine men's tennis program was named the West Coast Conference singles player of the week.
#65 De Jonge (Vlissingen, Netherlands) won his only match of the weekend, taking down Penn's then-#66 Edoardo Graziani 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the Waves' win over the Quakers on Sunday. This was the graduate student's third dual win of the season and second against a top-70 singles opponent.
This is the fifth career weekly honor in singles for De Jonge and second this season after being named the league's singles player of the week on February 14.
The Waves return home on Saturday, March 11 to face #36 Oklahoma. First serve is at 2 p.m.
