ELKHART, Ind. – The Pepperdine women's swim and dive program continued its week at the National Invitational Championships on Friday at the Beacon Health Aquatic Center.
Pepperdine competed in four events in addition to time trials on Friday: the 100 breast, 100 back, 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.
In the morning preliminaries session, the 800 free relay squad of
AJ Adams (Castle Rock, Colo./Valor Christian HS),
Lexi Haymart (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Ponderosa HS),
Anna Ryan (Alamo, Calif./Monte Vista HS) and
Charli Sunahara (Chino, Calif./Ruben S. Ayala HS) took eighth with a time of 7:35.02 for the Waves' best prelim performance of the day.
In the time trials,
Alexandra Browne (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty HS) recorded a personal best in the 100 free at 51.96, while Ryan also had a personal best in the 50 free at 24.13.
In the night finals session, the 200 medley relay foursome of
Kylie Taylor (Eugene, Ore./Churchill HS),
Jenna Sanchez (Highland, Calif./Redlands East Valley HS), Sunahara and Browne clocked in with a 1:43.26 showing to take 28th place.
