MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine men's tennis program returns home to face UC Irvine before heading to San Diego for a neutral site match against Pennsylvania.
While in San Diego, the Waves will participate in the annual Pacific Coast Doubles Championship in La Jolla from Thursday through Sunday.

SERIES HISTORY
Pepperdine has won 47 of 53 all-time matches with UC Irvine, and the Waves are 31-3 in Malibu. The last time the schools met was in 2021, a 6-1 home win for Pepperdine. The Waves' last loss against the Anteaters came in 1992.
Pepperdine has played Penn just three times, with all three matches coming in Malibu. The Waves are a perfect 3-0 against the Quakers. Last season, Pepperdine defeated Penn 5-2.
SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine is on a two-match win streak after defeating Tulsa 4-1 in Oklahoma on Sunday. The Waves took the doubles point while
Eero Vasa (Turku, Finland),
Maxi Homberg (Freising, Germany) and
Pietro Fellin (Milan, Italy) all won straight-set matches in singles. Homberg leads the squad with four singles victories.
Daniel De Jonge (Vlissingen, Netherlands) is ranked 61st by the ITA in singles, while
Tim Zeitvogel (Baden-Baden, Germany) is ranked 124th. Together, the duo is ranked 36th in doubles and lead
s Pepperdine with four doubles wins this spring.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
UC Irvine has lost four of five to open the season, though the Anteaters did defeat Pacific 4-2 in their last outing on February 19. The last two matches for UCI have been postponed or canceled. Thomas Smart leads the squad with three singles wins playing from the fifth and sixth spots. No Anteaters are ranked by the ITA in either singles or doubles.
Penn has been up and down this season, winning five of nine matches while playing a pair of nationally ranked teams. Wins for the Quakers have come against Old Dominion, Navy, Penn State, Yale and William & Mary, while they have lost to then-#8 South Carolina and then-#19 Columbia. Edoardo Graziani is ranked 66th by the ITA in singles, while he and Kevin Zhu are the third-ranked doubles team in the country.
