MALIBU, California – The #9 Pepperdine women's tennis program advanced to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships with another dominating performance on Sunday, sweeping Memphis 4-0 at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.
The other 15 teams and the draw for ITA Indoors, held February 10-13 at the University of Washington, will be released the week of February 6.
Doubles play was tight through the first couple of games on each court before Pepperdine (2-0) struck first. #4 Savannah Broadus (Carrollton, Texas) and Janice Tjen (Jakarta, Indonesia) were 6-3 winners on the top court. Soon after, Nikki Redelijk (Windermere, Fla.) and Lisa Zaar (Stockholm, Sweden) clinched the doubles point with their second win of the weekend, also winning 6-3 on court three.
