MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's and women's cross country programs both earned U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association 2022 Division I All-Academic recognition, the organization announced today.
The Waves' men had a cumulative grade-point average of 3.6 highlighted by graduate student
Will Bullock (Marietta, Ga./Kennesaw Mountain HS/Eastern Illinois) and freshman
Spencer Mueller (Fresno, Calif./Clovis North H). Bullock is currently pursuing a master's in screen and television writing and earned a 3.9 GPA. Mueller is a pre-business administration student and collected a 3.742 GPA.
Pepperdine's women earned a cumulative 3.55 grade-point average highlighted by seniors
Skyler Danley (Easton, Pa./Easton Area HS) and
Olivia Miller (Tallahassee, Fla./Lawton Chiles HS). Danley is pursuing a sociology degree and rounded out last semester with a 3.952 GPA. Miller is majoring in finance and earned a 3.858 GPA in the fall of 2022.
Prerequisites to be named an All-Academic Team includes obtaining a grade-point average of at least 3.0 or higher.
This marks the first USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for both the men's and women's cross country programs. Pepperdine's men's and women's track squads were named USTFCCCA All-Academic last season.
