SAN FRANCISCO, California – #45 Tim Zeitvogel of the Pepperdine men's tennis program made a run to the quarterfinals of the Battle in the Bay, but the Waves' weekend was cut short on Friday night at the event hosted by the University of San Francisco at the California Tennis Club.
Zeitvogel (Baden-Baden, Germany) collected a pair of straight-set wins on Thursday and Friday before falling to #32 Jonas Ziverts of Arizona in the quarterfinals on Friday night.
#15 Daniel De Jonge (Vlissingen, Netherlands) won his first-round match in straight sets on Thursday before bowing out in the round of 32 on Friday morning.
