MALIBU, California – Following its first-ever Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference team championship, the Pepperdine women's swim and dive program has announced its 2022-23 season schedule.
The schedule is highlighted by 11 home dates – nearly three times more than last season – and the second annual Rodionoff Invitational on October 8-9.
Other multi-team meets include the Utah Tech Invitational at Dixie State (November 17-19) and the WCC Cup, hosted by Pepperdine, on January 20-21 against San Diego and Loyola Marymount. This year, the Waves will have two diving-specific invitationals – one at USC (November 11-12) and the other at UCLA (January 13-15).
Pepperdine will host San Diego State (October 6), Cal State East Bay (October 14-15), Loyola Marymount (November 4), Fresno State (January 12) and Azusa Pacific (January 28) in dual meets. In road dual meets, the Waves will visit San Jose State (October 21), Cal Poly (October 22) and San Diego State (January 13). One triangular is on the docket, a home double-dual meet on November 5
th against both UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego.
The peak of the swim season will be the PCSC Championships, held at East Los Angeles College from February 8-11.
Last season, head coach
Ellie Monobe was named the PCSC Coach of the Championship Meet for the second consecutive season. She and the Waves bring back 15 returners from the championship squad while adding 14 newcomers – 10 swimmers and four divers.
