Waves Named to CSCAA Scholar All-America Team For Spring Semester

MALIBU, California – For the 15th consecutive semester, the Pepperdine women's swim and dive team has been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team. The program posted a GPA of 3.53 to earn the honor for the spring.

Those with a GPA of 3.3 or higher are eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic standings.

Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director, said this about the Waves: "Coach (Ellie) Monobe is developing a program that will be a model in the pool and in the classroom."

Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2022 grade point averages and represent 17,845 student-athletes. In total, 731 teams from 441 colleges and universities earned the honor.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.

Pepperdine won its first-ever team Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference title in February. The Waves set five new school records last season, took home three PCSC event championships and recorded 19 All-PCSC first-team performers. For the second straight season, Monobe was named the PCSC Coach of the Meet.
