Waves' Run Cut Short in NCAA Doubles Championship Semifinals

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Pepperdine women's tennis program saw its season come to a close on Friday afternoon in the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex.

#42 Savannah Broadus (Carrollton, Texas) and Janice Tjen (Jakarta, Indonesia) were defeated by top-ranked Jaeda Daniel and Nell Miller of NC State, 7-5, 6-4. The pair's first season together resulted in a 24-4 overall record, including a 17-1 mark in dual matches. The .857 overall winning percentage is good for sixth on Pepperdine's single-season winning percentage list for overall matches. The 24 wins are also good for sixth all-time on the single-season wins list as a duo.

The pair's 17 dual wins put them third all-time in the record books for single-season wins at the #2 position as a duo.

As a team, Pepperdine earned four All-Americans through the NCAA individual championships while making its furthest appearance in the singles championship since 2018 and in the doubles championship since 2000.
