FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. –
Paulina Holmberg and
Lexie Martin of the Pepperdine women's swim and dive team traveled to the campus of Northern Arizona University to take place in the NCAA Zone Diving competition held on Monday.
Both Holmberg (Apple Valley, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) and Martin (Keller, Texas/Keller HS) participated solely in the 1-meter competition.
Martin, a freshman, came in 55
th place with a cumulative score of 180.95. Holmberg ended her career with a score of 168.25, giving her 57
th place.
Holmberg's decorated diving career at Pepperdine included setting two new school records in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving. She was also an All-PCSC first team honoree in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The two Waves represented the first Pepperdine divers to be selected for the NCAA Zones since 2012.

Monique Demaisip said: "Lexie and Paulina got to compete against divers from the top schools in the Pac-12, including a silver medalist from the most recent Olympics. During the regular season, we don't have much of an opportunity to participate in meets of this caliber. Today was great exposure for Pepperdine and a good learning experience for our athletes."
