MALIBU, California – The #5 Pepperdine women's tennis program earned its third consecutive West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week award, as Victoria Flores and Lisa Zaar received the honor as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Playing from the top spot, the 17th-ranked duo of Flores (Fort Dodge, Iowa) and Zaar (Stockholm, Sweden) garnered two wins this past week. The pair earned a ranked win over #60 Khatamova/Volodko from UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday, clinching the doubles point for the Waves and helping Pepperdine defeat #29 UCSB. On Saturday against #21 Loyola Marymount, Flores and Zaar picked up the first doubles point for Pepperdine, defeating their Lion counterparts 6-2 as the Waves took down #21 LMU for the 24th consecutive time in Malibu.
 
After today's match at #14 California, Pepperdine resumes WCC play with a home match against Saint Mary's on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
